School Tour of Old Broad Street Church

On Monday, November 29, 2004, four classes of first graders from Broad Street School visited the Old Broad Street Church, which is across the street from the school. The classes come two at a time to tour the historic church building and learn a little of its history.  Below are pictures from the tour.

The first 2 classes cross Broad Street from the school to the old church building

The children sat in the box pews at the front, beneath the high pulpit

They heard about ways the people kept warm when the church was used regularly.
The building is still used during August, on Thanksgiving morning, and on special occasions.
